2016 Cadillac ELR to Debut with More Power Technology

Providing cutting-edge technologies has always been a core value of the Cadillac brand, so when the recent announcement that the Cadillac ELR would offer a host of upgrades for the 2016 model year, we here at Miller Brothers Chevrolet Cadillac were more than thrilled.

When it launches, the all-electric luxury coupe will receive a boost in acceleration, driving performance, and connectivity. According to Cadillac, the ELR will receive a more than 25 percent increase in power and torque, faster acceleration, and higher top speed.

But the enhancements don’t stop there. The 2016 ELR will also get a retuned chassis and steering for sharper handling, more responsive brakes, and a new Performance equipment package, which includes new 20-inch summer-only performance tires, front Brembo four-piston brake calipers, a sport steering wheel, and much more.

“ELR’s combination of leading technology with stunningly attractive design is unlike any other coupe in the luxury segment,” said Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen in a press release. "The upgraded ELR offers enhanced driving performance for buyers seeking uncompromising luxury and exquisite craftsmanship with electrification technology.

Inside, the 2016 ELR features Cadillac’s signature world-class design. Step in and enjoy a cut-and-sew interior with available Semi-Aniline full leather seating. An eight-inch touchscreen display is both elegant and designed to make driving safer and more enjoyable. To match individual needs, the display is configurable and offers important information on screen.

As one of the industry’s most-connected vehicles, the ELR will incorporate the very best connectivity technology. This comes in the form of OnStar with 4G LTE, which is the fastest and most current mobile date network, and standard built-in Wi-Fi. The hotspot is on whenever the vehicle is on and can connect up to seven devices.

Because the 2016 ELR welcomes the many mobile devices we use in our lives, a new magnetic inductive charge spot located on the instrument panel provides an elegant wireless solution to your charging needs.
